How Tide Offshore B.V., trading as Alektec Energy, handles personal data from website visits, enquiries, RFQs and business communications.

2. What personal data do we process?
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- Your name, company, role and business contact details
- Correspondence and telephone-call information
- RFQ content and attachments you provide
- Quotation, order, delivery and business-relationship information
- Technical website data such as IP address, time, requested page, browser or device information and security logs
- Information you choose to provide through LinkedIn or another business-communication channel
Please do not send personal data that is unnecessary for your enquiry.
3. Why do we process it?
We process personal data where necessary to:
- Respond to enquiries and assess RFQs
- Prepare quotations and take steps toward a contract
- Perform accepted orders or other agreed contractual activities
- Manage business relationships and communications
- Meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations
- Operate, protect and secure our website, email and systems
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary
Depending on the activity, our legal basis is taking steps before entering into or performing a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in managing business enquiries, relationships and secure operations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
4. Who may receive the data?
We may share only the data reasonably necessary with:
- Service providers supporting website hosting, email, IT, administration, accounting or professional advice
- Potential or selected manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers or other supply-chain parties where needed to assess or fulfil an RFQ or accepted order
- Public authorities where disclosure is legally required
- Parties involved in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some service providers or supply-chain recipients may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use a transfer mechanism recognised under applicable data-protection law, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Information about relevant safeguards is available on request.
6. How long do we keep data?
- Enquiries and RFQs that do not result in a transaction: normally no more than 24 months after the last substantive contact
- Quotations, orders, invoices and business-administration records: for the applicable statutory period
- Information needed for an active agreement or legal claim: for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose
- Technical website and security logs: for the verified provider period, to be inserted before public launch
Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required, unless continued retention is legally permitted or required.
7. Cookies and website analytics
The launch version of this website does not use advertising or marketing cookies and does not use non-essential analytics cookies. The hosting service may use strictly necessary technologies and technical logs required to deliver and secure the website. The owner-only review deployment also requires authentication.
If analytics, embedded third-party services or other non-essential technologies are introduced later, this notice and any required consent mechanism will be updated before activation.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to:
- Provide access to your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data
- Restrict its processing
- Provide applicable data in a portable format
- Stop processing based on legitimate interests

9. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing or profiling.
10. Is providing data mandatory?
You are not legally required to contact us. However, we cannot assess an enquiry, prepare a quotation or perform an agreement without the information reasonably needed for that purpose.

We may update this notice when our processing activities or legal obligations change. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page.
