Specification-critical cable sourcing and supply.
Alektec develops direct supply quotations against defined cable requirements. Requirement review, technical-commercial clarification, documentation review, alternative assessment and supply-route selection are included within the sourcing-and-supply process.
Requirement review
A cable offer starts with the details that matter.
Alektec reviews the submitted information to identify what is needed to develop a quotation. The review is enquiry-specific and may include:
- Cable designation and construction
- Conductor material, class and size
- Insulation, screening, armour and sheath
- Rated voltage and stated standards
- Fire performance and CPR where applicable
- Quantities, cut lengths and drum requirements
- Testing, inspection and documentation requirements
- Destination, required date and delivery constraints
- Approved-brand, equivalence and deviation constraints
Supply-route assessment
Relevant routes are assessed against the RFQ.
Alektec uses manufacturer-independent global sourcing and may assess manufacturer and distributor routes relevant to the requirement. For deliveries into Germany, Benelux and wider Europe, European supply routes are prioritised where suitable.
If an alternative is considered, the offered construction, stated standards, available documentation and material deviations are made visible for customer review.
Global sourcing describes where Alektec may search and procure. It does not imply universal market access or worldwide delivery coverage. A European supply route does not necessarily mean European manufacturing origin.
Alektec quotation
The offered basis is made clear.
Alektec issues the quotation and remains the commercial counterparty for any accepted supply. The quotation states:
- Offered product, manufacturer and cable designation where applicable
- Quantities, lengths and scope of supply
- Requested and available documentation
- Assumptions, exceptions and material deviations
- Price, validity, availability and delivery basis
Technical boundary
Technical approval remains clearly assigned.
Alektec reviews requirements for sourcing and quotation purposes. It does not provide engineering design, certify product compliance or replace the customer's technical-approval process.
The customer or its appointed engineer remains responsible for the specification, approval of deviations and final technical acceptance. This does not limit Tide Offshore B.V.'s contractual or statutory responsibilities for an agreed supply.
